Yesterday Exactaform opened its doors during the Exactaform & WIIDA Open Day to give manufacturers a closer look at the people and processes behind the partnership as part of the European WIDIA Bus Tour.
The open day was designed to bring tooling conversations face-to-face and for visitors, it was a chance to see our capability up close, speak directly with technical teams and explore how the right tooling support can influence productivity, repeatability and confidence on the shop floor.
By mid-morning, the Exactaform factory floor was already doing what it does every day: engineers and operators having technical conversations, machines running, but there was a buzz in the air.
The networking opportunity gave visitors a clear view of Exactaform’s role as both a specialist cutting tool manufacturer and a technical support partner, with WIDIA adding further depth through established carbide tooling ranges and product expertise.
As the day progressed and visitors moved through the factory tours and machine demonstration sessions, the focus shifted from product specification to practical application, such as how tools are selected, how performance is supported, and how manufacturers can make more confident decisions when cycle time, tool life and process reliability are under pressure.

Some of the most valuable moments happened away from the formal agenda, as visitors used the lunch and further networking sessions to discuss live production challenges with Exactaform and WIDIA teams.
The day showed the value of bringing suppliers, engineers and manufacturers into the same room, particularly when production teams are under pressure to improve output, control costs and maintain quality.

The Exactaform & WIDIA Open Day was more than a showcase of products and machines. It was a practical reminder that better tooling decisions are built through access, expertise and open conversation. For manufacturers reviewing performance, productivity or process stability, those conversations are often where the next improvement begins.
